  • Soil: Fertile, well-draining soil with a pH of 6.0-7.0.
  • Spacing: Space plants 18-24 inches apart in rows 24-36 inches apart.
  • Depth: Transplant seedlings or sow seeds ¼ to ½ inch deep.
  • Water: Keep the soil consistently moist.
  • Harvest: Harvest the central head when it’s fully developed but before the flowers open. Side shoots will continue to produce after the main head is harvested.
