Planting Instructions:
- Best Time to Plant: Late spring to early summer.
- Soil Preparation: Prefers acidic soils with a pH of 4.5 to 6.0. Test soil and amend as needed.
- Planting Method: Can be planted using seed, sod, or plugs.
- Seed: Sow at a rate of 0.25 pounds per 1,000 square feet. Lightly rake the soil to cover seeds and water immediately.
- Sod or Plugs: Lay sod pieces or plant plugs, spacing plugs 6-12 inches apart. Water immediately after planting.
- Watering: Keep the soil moist until the grass is established, then reduce watering frequency.
- Maintenance: Mow to a height of 1.5-2 inches. Fertilize sparingly, typically once or twice a year, as too much fertilizer can harm centipede grass.
