Planting Instructions:

      • Location:Plant hydrangeas in a location with partial shade to filtered sunlight. Morning sun with afternoon shade is ideal, especially in warmer climates like Massachusetts.
      • Planting:Dig a hole that’s as deep and twice as wide as the root ball. Place the hydrangea in the hole, ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the surrounding soil.
      • Spacing:Space hydrangeas according to their mature size, typically about 3 to 6 feet apart.
      • Care:Water newly planted hydrangeas regularly until established. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Apply a layer of mulch around the plants to conserve moisture and suppress weeds. Prune lightly after flowering to remove dead or weak branches and shape the plant. Amend soil pH to influence flower color, with acidic soil producing blue flowers and alkaline soil producing pink flowers.
