Kentucky Bluegrass is a fine-textured cool-season grass with a rich, dark green color. It forms a dense, attractive lawn and has good cold tolerance.

Planting Instructions:

  • Optimal Planting Time: Late summer to early fall (August to September) or early spring (March to April).
  • Soil Preparation: Till the soil to a depth of 4-6 inches, removing weeds and debris.
  • Seeding Rate: 2-3 pounds per 1,000 square feet.
  • Seeding Method: Broadcast the seed evenly, then lightly rake the soil to cover the seeds with about 1/4 inch of soil.
  • Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist until germination, then water deeply but less frequently.
