Planting Instructions:
-
-
- Location:Choose a site with well-drained soil and full sun, though they can tolerate some afternoon shade in hotter climates.
- Planting:Dig a hole as deep as the root ball and two to three times as wide. Place the peony in the hole, spreading the roots outward, and backfill with soil.
- Spacing:Space peonies about 3 to 4 feet apart to allow for their mature size.
- Care:Water newly planted peonies regularly until established. Once established, they are relatively low-maintenance. Provide support for taller varieties to prevent flopping, and divide overcrowded clumps every few years in the fall.
