Planting Instructions:

      • Location:Plant in a location with full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. Purple coneflowers can tolerate a variety of soil types but prefer slightly alkaline soil.
      • Planting:Sow seeds directly into the garden in early spring or early fall, or plant nursery-grown seedlings. Space plants about 18 to 24 inches apart.
      • Care:Water newly planted coneflowers regularly until established. Once established, they are relatively low-maintenance and drought-tolerant. Deadhead spent blooms to prolong flowering and prevent self-seeding if desired.
