Planting Instructions:

      • Location:Plant Sego Lily in a sunny location with well-drained, sandy soil. It prefers rocky or gravelly soils commonly found in Utah’s desert and foothill regions.
      • Planting:Sow seeds directly into the garden in fall or early spring. Sow seeds at a depth of about 1/4 inch.
      • Spacing:Space seeds or seedlings about 6 to 12 inches apart.
      • Care:Sego Lily is adapted to Utah’s arid climate and requires minimal care once established. Water sparingly, as excess moisture can cause bulb rot. Allow the foliage to wither naturally after blooming to allow the bulbs to store energy for the next growing season.
