Sheep Fescue is a fine-leaved, cool-season grass known for its drought tolerance and ability to thrive in poor soils. It forms dense, low-growing clumps.

Planting Instructions:

  • Optimal Planting Time: Late summer to early fall (mid-August to October).
  • Soil Preparation: Till the soil to a depth of 4-6 inches, and remove weeds and debris.
  • Seeding Rate: 4-5 pounds per 1,000 square feet.
  • Seeding Method: Broadcast the seed evenly, then lightly rake the soil to cover the seeds with about 1/4 inch of soil.
  • Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist until germination, then water deeply but less frequently.
