Tall Fescue is a cool-season grass with deep green color and coarse texture. It has excellent drought tolerance and adapts well to various soil types.
Planting Instructions:
- Optimal Planting Time: Early fall (September to October) or early spring (March to April).
- Soil Preparation: Till the soil to a depth of 4-6 inches, removing weeds and debris.
- Seeding Rate: 6-8 pounds per 1,000 square feet.
- Seeding Method: Broadcast the seed evenly, then lightly rake the soil to cover the seeds with about 1/4 inch of soil.
- Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist until germination, then water deeply but less frequently.
