Planting Instructions:

  1. Soak Green Pea seeds in water for 8-12 hours to promote germination.
  2. Fill a shallow tray or container with a soilless growing medium, such as coconut coir or peat moss.
  3. Moisten the growing medium thoroughly with water until it is evenly damp but not waterlogged.
  4. Scatter the soaked Green Pea seeds evenly over the surface of the growing medium. Aim for moderate coverage without overcrowding the seeds.
  5. Lightly press the seeds into the growing medium to ensure good seed-to-soil contact.
  6. Cover the tray with a clear lid or plastic wrap to create a greenhouse effect and retain moisture. Alternatively, use a humidity dome if available.
  7. Place the tray in a warm, well-lit location with indirect sunlight or under grow lights. Ideal temperatures for germination are between 60-70°F (15-21°C).
  8. Keep the growing medium consistently moist by misting with water as needed. Avoid overwatering, as excessive moisture can lead to fungal issues.
  9. Green Pea shoots typically germinate within 3-5 days. Once the seedlings emerge, remove the cover to promote air circulation.
  10. Continue to grow the shoots until they reach the desired height, usually within 7-14 days. Harvest by cutting the shoots just above the soil level when they are 4-6 inches tall and have developed several sets of leaves.
