Planting Instructions:

  1. Soak the Hard Red Wheat seeds in water for about 8-12 hours or overnight to initiate germination.
  2. Fill a shallow tray or container with organic potting soil or a soilless growing medium like coco coir.
  3. Spread the soaked seeds evenly over the surface of the soil, ensuring moderate coverage without overcrowding.
  4. Gently press the seeds into the soil to ensure good seed-to-soil contact.
  5. Water the seeds thoroughly but avoid waterlogging the soil. Ensure the soil remains consistently moist but not soggy throughout the growing process.
  6. Place the tray in a warm, well-lit location with indirect sunlight. Ideal temperatures for germination range from 65°F to 75°F (18°C to 24°C).
  7. Cover the tray with another tray or plastic wrap to create a greenhouse effect and retain moisture during the initial stages of growth.
  8. Remove the cover once the seeds germinate and green shoots emerge, usually within 2-3 days.
  9. Continue to water the wheatgrass regularly, ensuring it receives adequate sunlight for photosynthesis.
  10. Harvest the wheatgrass when it reaches a height of 6-8 inches (15-20 cm) by cutting it just above the soil level using sharp scissors or a clean knife.
  11. Wheatgrass can be juiced immediately for consumption or stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
