Planting Instructions:

      • Location:Plant Penstemons in a location with full sun to partial shade. They prefer well-drained soil and are drought-tolerant once established.
      • Planting:Sow seeds directly into the garden in fall or early spring. Alternatively, plant nursery-grown seedlings. Space plants according to their mature size, typically about 12 to 24 inches apart.
      • Care:Water newly planted Penstemons regularly until established. Once established, they are relatively low-maintenance and require minimal watering. Deadhead spent flowers to promote continuous blooming and prevent self-seeding if desired. Cut back stems after flowering to encourage bushier growth.
